Off The Wall

Today I will talk about a shoe brand. The brand name is Vans. It is popular among skateboarders. Actually  I played skateboard in the past and recently I began to practice again. That is why I will talk about this brand.

Vans was established by Paul Van Doren in 1966. At first he had professionally sold shoe outsoles.  They were sold to skaters because it was easy to ride a skateboard. And even today, this brand is very liked by those who skateboard and ride BMX.

"Off The Wall" is Vans's slogan. This slogan means surprising, unusual and strange.

These are my Vans shoes. From left, Old Skool, Slip-on, Era and
Half Cab. Old Skool is the best known shoe I guess. Vans's famous side stripe was born with Old Skool. Slip-on is one of my favorite Vans shoes. Slip-on was designed to be put on quickly so I can wear them like slippers and they look very simple. That is the reason why I like them.





These are not expensive. We can buy these shoes for 4000~9000 yen. Especially Slip-on is perfect for summer.  If you are interested in this brand, just try!
